The Pinnacle Club Application
for Membership
The Pinnacle Club
was founded with the stated objectives of fostering the independent
development of rock climbing and mountaineering amongst women and bringing
together those who are interested in the pursuit.
Qualification for
membership shall include the ability and competence to lead on climbs (no
matter what the grade) and a readiness to share in activities of the club.
Candidates for
membership must have attained their 18th Birthday and either: 1.
have attended and taken an active part
in at least four meets over a minimum period of six months before
submitting their application. OR 2. have the support in writing of at least four Club Members. In both instances, the applicant must also be proposed and seconded by two members of the club whom they have climbed
Instructions
Please complete section 1 of this
form then pass it on to your proposer and seconder so that they can
complete section 2. Once both sections have been completed, please send to
the membership secretary at the address given on this form.
Application for membership are considered at
committee meetings which take place three times a year, usually in
January, May and October. It is
therefore a good idea to ensure that you submit your application in
advance of a forthcoming committee meeting. Current membership fees for full club members
stand at £20.00 per year. There is also a £2.00 joining fee. The Club actively encourages its members
to pay their membership subs by Standing Order. |
